Browser

The Vertex Browser is a tree-view browser, which makes it easy to manage the contents of the libraries and the document archive. Vertex Browser can be used to browse the component libraries.

Browsing a Library

Select the desired folder from the left frame of the Browser. You can change the width of the frame by dragging with the cursor. When you next open the browser, the width will be the same you selected last. After selecting the folder, thumbnail images of the objects in the folder will be displayed in the right frame. Select the desired object in either of the following ways:

• Double-click the thumbnail.
• Click the thumbnail with the right mouse button and select Open object.

The Browser closes and you can add the object to the drawing or model. You can also close the Browser without selecting an object by clicking the Close window button.

The Vertex Browser features the following Windows functions:

Note

• When opening a library containing a large number of objects, you can cancel starting the Vertex Browser by immediately pressing Esc. The Browser will start, however, if the contents of the library have already been scanned.
• You can control the behavior of the browser with the keyword browser_mode in the DRAFT keyword group:
  • browser_mode= 1 - The folders and objects in the browser are sorted in alphabetical order.
  • browser_mode= 2 - When the browser opens, the branches are expanded.
  • browser_mode= 3 - When the browser opens, the branches are expanded and the folders and objects are sorted in alphabetical order.
