Exporting a Vertex file to Another Format
You can save a Vertex 2D drawing or 3D model in another file
format in the following way:
- Do either of the following:
- Select File > Save File As from the menu bar.
- Press Ctrl+E.
The Save As dialog box opens.
- Select the desired Save as type alternative in the
dialog box:
- 2D drawing:
- Adobe Acrobat Documents (*.pdf)
- AutoCAD Drawings (*.dwg)
- DXF Files (*.dxf)
- DWF Files (*.dwf)
- HPGL Drawings (*.hpgl, *.hgl)
- IGES Files (*.igs)
- JPEG Images (*.jpg, *.jpeg)
- TIFF Images(*.tif)
- 3D model:
- Adobe Acrobat Documents (*.pdf). Select the Version:
- pdf 3d - You can rotate the model in the Adobe Reader
program.
- pdf 2d - An image of the model, which you can view using the
Adobe Reader program.
- AutoCAD Drawings (*.dwg)
- IGES Files (*.igs)
- SAT Files (*.sat)
- 3DS Files (*.3ds)
- VRML Files (*.wrl, *.vrml)
- STL Files (*.stl)
- JPEG Images (*.jpg, *.jpeg)
- TIFF Images(*.tif)
- Do one of the following:
- Confirm the default save folder, which is the project
folder.
- Select another folder by using the general functions in the
Windows dialog box.
- Select the saving location from the Directory list, and
click the Go button to open the selected folder.
- Name the file. Type a name in the File name field.
- Click the Save button.
