Update a Truss

It is necessary to update the trusses if you have edited the trusses and then want to restore their shape according to the truss area, or if you have edited the truss area, for example by changing the height or pitch of the roof, and then want to update the changes to the trusses without regenerating them.

1. Select Trusses > Update Truss.
2. Select what is to be updated. Select one or more of the options on the contextual toolbar:
   • Update shape
   • Update top chord
   • Update bottom chord
   • Update supports
3. Select the trusses to be updated. Select several trusses with the Ctrl key pressed down. Select all trusses by pressing Ctrl+A.
4. Select Confirm.

Note

• Individual changes made to a truss, such as adding a beam notch or copying the truss shape, will disappear during the update, and the truss will be restored to its original shape according to the shape parameters selected.
