Setting Layers Visible

You can turn one or more layers visible in a drawing as follows:

1. Select one of the following:
   • Select Layers > Select Layers from List. This function can be used to select the visible or hidden layers in a dialog box.

   • Select a layer group at the bottom of the Layers menu.
   • Select Layers > All Layers. The function will turn all layers visible, with the exception of those defined as hidden layers in the settings.
   • Select Layers > Working Layer Only. This function will display only the objects on the work layer in the drawing. Other layers will be hidden.
   • Select Layers > Hidden Layers On/Off. The function will turn all layers visible, including the layers that have been defined as hidden layers in the settings. You can hide the layers again by using the same function.
   • If the drawing is a converted DWG file, select Select From DWG Layers. This function lets you select the visible layers from the DWG file's original layer list.

Note

• When you save a drawing, information about the active layers and layers to be printed is saved in the drawing file. Next time you open the drawing, the layers are activated according to the saved information. If necessary, you can restore the default parameters of the Vertex software, see Restoring Default Layer Definitions.
• You can also select the functions from the menu bar View > Layers.
