Adding a Roof Siding Origin

Add a roof siding origin to the layout of a metal roof to define where to start the placing of the sheets. Add a roof siding origin to each slope. If the roofing material is tile, roof siding origins are not needed.

1. Do either of the following:
   • Select Roofs > Roof Siding Material Layout Tool > Add Roof Siding Origin.
   • Select the function in the project's document browser:
     1. Open the branch Architectural documents / Roof layout.
     2. Move the cursor on a name of a roof layout, for example roof_layout.
     3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
     4. Select Add Roof Siding Origin.
2. Select the roof slope.
3. Select a location for the origin.
