Set the Chimney Height

With this function, the height of a chimney is defined according to the Finnish fire safety regulations. The height is defined in the 3D model of the building. The height is calculated differently according to the shape of the roof.

1. Select Roofs > Set Chimney Height.
2. Select a suitable calculation method from a drawing window by clicking a hot spot .

   

3. Do one of the following:
   • Method A:
     1. Select the chimney.
     2. Select the defining eave.
     3. Select the gable of the roof.
   • Method B:
     1. Select the chimney.
     2. Select the eave of the lower slope.
     3. Select the gable of the upper slope.
   • Methods C and D:
     1. Select the chimney.
     2. Select the main roof.
4. Confirm the calculated chimney height or round it to a desired value in the text box.
