Select soffit adding method from the contextual toolbar.
Add horizontal soffits to the eave as follows:
It is easiest to select the points in the 2D drawing of the roof. You can also select the points in the 3D model, in which case the cursor is locked to the horizontal plane running through the lowest point of the eave (or through the point at a distance defined by the offset from the lowest point of the eave).
You can add a rectangle area by clicking just two points: the start and end points of the area diagonal.
Add soffits parallel to the slope to the bottom of the slope as follows:
It is easiest to select the points in the 2D drawing of the roof. You can also select the points in the 3D model, in which case the cursor is locked to the plane of the slope's bottom surface (or to the plane at a distance defined by the offset from the bottom surface).
You can add a rectangle area by clicking just two points: the start and end points of the area diagonal.
Add soffits to an area you define by selecting points.
It is easiest to select the points in the 3D model. If you select the points in the 2D drawing, type the height position of each point in relation to the absolute origin in a text box.
