Enter pitch by defining height in a point

This function is used to define the pitch of a sketch roof slope by selecting a point through which the slope runs. In a 3D model the point is clicked with the cursor. If the point is clicked in a 2D drawing, its z coordinate is typed in a text box.

After this, a rotation axis around which the slope is pitched is defined for the slope. When adding a sketch roof, the program positions the rotation axis at the intersection point of the wall and sketch roof surface. If the eave of the roof is to be maintained at its original height, the rotation axis is moved on the eave. The rotation axis is moved by selecting a reference point on it and by entering an offset for the reference point.

  1. Select the point.
  2. Type the elevation of the point, i.e. its z coordinate, if necessary.
  3. Select a reference point on the rotation axis.
  4. Select the offset for the rotation axis.
