Enter pitch as ratio or angle

This function is used to define the pitch of the sketch roof slopes. After the slope is selected, the pitch is typed either as a ratio or in degrees in a text box. The ratio can be typed either as the ratio of the height and width of the slope or as a decimal number, e.g. 1/4 or 0,25. If the pitch is typed in degrees, the numeric value is followed by the letter A, e.g. 45A.

After this, a rotation axis around which the slope is pitched is defined for the slope. When adding a sketch roof, the program positions the rotation axis at the intersection point of the wall and sketch roof surface. If the eave of the roof is to be maintained at its original height, the rotation axis is moved on the eave. The rotation axis is moved by selecting a reference point on it and by entering an offset for the reference point.

  1. Type new pitch.
  2. Select a reference point on the rotation axis.
  3. Select the offset for the rotation axis.
