The additional materials are defined in a library. You can edit the library for additional materials in the following way:
The additional material properties area defined in a database of their own. The properties determine the components of the additional material. The database determines the material codes, the rules for calculating the material quantity and the units. The data of the additional material added to the drawing-model pair of a project is collected in the material register in accordance with what is determined in the material properties.

If 3 m of the above railing material is added to the floor plan drawing, the program will collect in the material register 3 m of the top bar, 3 m of the bottom bar, two end pieces and 15 balusters.
Swimming pool

If the above swimming pool material is added to the floor plan drawing on an area sized 4 m x 4 m, the program will collect in the material register 16 m² of pool bottom and one drain.
The use of this property requires that you have knowledge of Vertex databases.
The default values for the drawing property set of the line representing an additional material is defined in the system settings with the MATLINE line name. You can edit the properties in the Line Geometric Properties dialog box. The editable properties in the dialog box are Line font, Layer, Pen and Scale (line spacing). Select the property values from the lists.
