Creating a Project-specific Component Library
You can create a project-specific component library by copying a
standard component library to the open project.
- Select System Settings > Building Component
Libraries > Component Libraries. The
Component Libraries database view opens.
You can check for any component libraries
already copied to the project from the InProject column:
- 0 - The component library is not project-specific.
- 1 - The component library is project-specific.
- Select the standard component library (InProject = 0) you wish
to copy. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the desired row
(Arrow up or Arrow down).
- Click the Edit Project Lib button. You will receive the
prompt: "Create a project-specific {LIBRARY NAME} library?"
- Select Yes. A database view in which you can edit the
selected component library opens.
- Edit the component library in the database view.

- Confirm by clicking OK. You will return to the Component
Libraries database view. The InProject field of the copied
library will now have the value 1. After this, the program will
load the components in question from the project-specific library.
The original component library will remain unchanged.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
Note
- System Settings is available on the toolbar only if you
are a system administrator.
- The program will save the changes made to the library in a
user-specific database. If the database is not found in the Custom
folder, it is first copied from the System folder. If necessary,
confirm the copying by clicking the Yes button in the
message box that opens.
