Change a Building Component to Another Component

You can change a building component to another, already existing component, which is called a reference component. A building component can be a stair, a door, a window, a single window trim, etc.

The reference component is positioned thus that the reference points selected from the components are set on top of each other. The rotating and mirroring information of the component to be changed remain unchanged. With the additional function ALL, all components of the similar type in the building model can be replaced with reference components.

1. Select Building Components > Advanced > Change Building Component.
2. Select a reference component.
3. Select the reference point of the reference component.
4. Select the component to be changed.
5. Select the reference point of the component to be changed.
6. Do either of the following:
   • Select another building component to be changed and its reference point.
   • Click the ALL button to change all components of the similar type in the building model, and select Yes in a message box.
