Default Structure When Adding a Floor or Ceiling

When you add a floor or ceiling for the first time since starting the software, the default library and structure are selected in the Component Properties dialog box.

Default Library

The default library is the one with the highest priority (smallest number in the Priority field).

Order of Libraries in the Library List

Default Structure

The default structure is the one with the smallest order number in the library. You can edit the order number as follows:

1. Select System Settings > Building Component Libraries > Component Libraries. The Component Libraries database view opens.
2. Move the cursor on the row of the default library. Use the Up and Down arrow keys.
3. Click the Edit Library button. The Library of Slabs, Floors, Ceilings, Roofs database view opens.
4. Edit the numbers in the Order field.
5. Close the database views by clicking OK.

Note

• Only an available structure (Active) can be a default structure.
• If several structures in the library have the same order number, the program chooses the default structure randomly.
• Once you have selected and added the structure, the previously selected structure is the default structure next time you open the Component Properties dialog box.
