Editing rotation axes
The rotation axis of a horizontal structure is the edge that
stays in place when the pitch of the structure is edited. This
function is used to edit the rotation axis of a horizontal
structure by selecting a new rotation axis or by changing the
location of the rotation axis.
Set new rotation edge
This function is used to define a new rotation axis for a
structure. One of the edges of the structure is selected as the
rotation axis.
- Select the area to be edited.
- Select one of the following:
- Top plane - Position according to top
surface.
- Bottom plane - Position according to
bottom surface.
- Select Edit rotation axis.
- Select Set new rotation edge.
- Select the area again.
- Select the edge.
- Select the Confirm function.
- Select another editing function from the contextual toolbar, if
necessary.
Move rotation axis
This function is used to move the rotation axis of a structure.
A reference point is selected on the axis and an offset is defined
for the point.
- Select the area to be edited.
- Select one of the following:
- Top plane - Position according to top
surface.
- Bottom plane - Position according to
bottom surface.
- Select Edit rotation axis.
- Select Move rotation axis.
- Select the area again.
- Select a reference point.
- Click a new location.
- Select the Confirm function.
- Select another editing function from the contextual toolbar, if
necessary.
