Select Detail

All the available details for the active edge are displayed on the list of the dialog box. If there are several details on the list, select one of them. If there is only one detail, it is selected automatically. A drawing of the detail is displayed in the preview window.

Parameters

This feature is not used in the Vertex BD application.

Apply to all similar conditions

When you select the check box, the program uses the selected detail automatically for all edges with similar framing conditions. When you clear the check box, you will select a detail for each edge one by one.

This feature is available when you are using either of the following functions:

• Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Automatic Details

• Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Add Details to Panel

Click OK to accept the selected detail. After this, the procedure depends on the selected function:

• When you are using the Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Automatic Details or Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Add Details to Panel function, the program will add the detail symbol to the floor plan,and activate the next edge automatically. The Select Detail dialog box reopens. Continue selecting the details until all the edges have been processed, or quit by clicking the Cancel button.

• When you are using the Floors and Ceilings > Add Edge Detail function, the program will add the detail to all the selected edges and close the dialog box, when you click the OK button.

Skip

If you do not wish to select a detail for the active edge, but want to continue selecting details for other edges, click the Skip button. The program automatically activates the next edge, and the Select Detail dialog box reopens. Continue selecting the details until all the edges have been processed, or quit by clicking the Cancel button.

This feature is available when you are using either of the following functions:

• Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Automatic Details

• Floor Joists, Roof Rafters > Add Details to Panel

Cancel

The program automatically goes through all the edges in the selected area or panel. If you want to quit selecting the details before the last edge, click the Cancel button.
