Making structural layer edges visible in 2D drawing

In the 2D drawing of the drawing-model pair, only the structural layer edges that have been defined visible in 2D, can be seen. The edge visibility can be defined when either adding the structure or editing its properties.

Adding structure

After selecting the structure, change the edge visibility of a structural layer in the 2D drawing in the following way:

  1. Select the function Edit material from the contextual toolbar. The Structure of Layered Area database view opens up. Each structural layer has its own row in the database view.
  2. Move the cursor on the desired row.
  3. Select X from the 2D list.
  4. Click OK to accept.
  5. Continue adding the structure.

Editing structure properties

When you have added the structure, change the edge visibility of a structural layer in the 2D drawing in the following way:

  1. Quit the last selected function by pressing Esc.
  2. Select the structure in the drawing or model window.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Properties. Area properties dialog box opens up. You can see the structural layers in the Area layers list box. The edge line of a structural layer is visible in the 2D drawing when there is X in the field Show 2D.
  5. Click the desired structural layer in the list box.
  6. Click the Properties button. Material layer database view opens up.
  7. Select the check box Display in 2D.
  8. Click OK to accept.
  9. Click OK to close the Area properties dialog box.
