Adding the Distance Constraint in a Model
This function can be used to define the distance between two
parts. You can do this by clicking the element (point, line or
face) to be affected by the constraint on both parts. If the result
is not what you expected, you can flip the Distance constraint or
change its chirality.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Constraints >
Distance.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select
Distance.
- Select the first part.
- Select the appropriate face, line or point on the first
part.
- Select the second part.
- Select the appropriate face, line or point on the second
part.
- Change the value of the distance in the dialog box, and accept
the value.
Note
- You can undo the constraint last added by pressing Ctrl+Z
before exiting constraint definition. The previous constraint
solution is not restored.
