Position the other foundation walls

After you have added the distance constraint, the other foundation walls move as well, because they have not been fixed to their positions. If necessary, use the wall grip points to move the foundation walls back inside the wall chain in the reference drawing.

1. Select Constraints > Repeated Equal Distance.
2. Zoom close to the top left corner of the floor plan.
3. Select the first pair. Select the lines between which you just added a distance constraint:
   • Select the outer surface line of the brick siding (A) in the reference drawing.
   • Select the outer surface line of the foundation wall (B).

   The program highlights the pair of lines in green.

4. Select the second pair:
   • Select the outer surface line of the brick siding (C).
   • Select the outer surface line of the foundation wall (D).
5. Select Zoom Extents from the toolbar.
