Floors and Ceilings

Add a ceiling based on the exterior walls

1. Activate the model window by using the File > Switch Between 2D and 3D function.
2. Select Add using walls. The default reference line (EXTERIOR, outer surface of the frame) is displayed in the middle of the status bar. The program defines the edge line of the structure based on the wall's reference line.
3. Change the reference line by using the Reference line function on the contextual toolbar. A selection list opens.
4. Select the option INTERIOR (inner surface of the frame) from the list.
5. Select an exterior wall (A) on the 2nd floor.
6. Select the Offset from reference line function. The Enter Offset dialog box opens.
7. Enter the value of the distance in the text field: -100.
8. Select the rest of the walls in the wall chain by clicking the Linked walls button on the contextual toolbar.
9. Select Confirm. The program will add the ceiling.
10. Quit by pressing the Esc key.
