Wall Geometry Drawing Properties
Wall's geometry in a drawing consists of lines, hatches and
color fills. In a model, the geometry consists of lines and
surfaces.
Each wall layer has two lines in the floor plan drawing, but
only the inner surface line is drawn. If the wall only contains a
single layer, or the layer is limited by an air gap, the exterior
surface line is also drawn.
You can select following properties for a line, hatch, line fill
or color fill:
- Type- You can select this property for a color fill or
hatch. Select the type (cross hatch, point mesh, color fill etc.)
from the list.
- Line font - Select the line font (continuous, dash line,
dot-and-dash line etc.) for a line or line fill from the list.
- Pen - Select the pen width for a line or hatch from the
list. The line width can be seen in a printed drawing.
- Scale - This property affects a hatch and all the other
line fonts except the continuous line. The property can be either
absolute or relative:
- A positive value means an absolute (fixed) scale.
- A negative value means a relative scale.
The effect of the property depends on the
drawing scale. If the scale is an absolute scale and the drawing
scale is 1:1, changing the drawing scale to 1:10 shows the effect
of the scale property on a line or hatch as tenfold. A relative
value of the scale property is the corresponding value in
millimeters in a drawing. When the drawing scale is changed, a line
or hatch is scaled in relation to the drawing scale.
- Level - Select the layer on which a line, hatch or color
fill is added. The visibility of the geometry in a floor plan can
be restricted using layer selections.
- Color - Select a line's color from the list, or select
the list's alternative More. A color palette is opened for
you to select an appropriate Pen color. The colors shown on the
color palette are defined in the settings.

In addition, you can select any RGB color for a
hatch or color fill by using the list's alternative RGB.

- Offset - You can select this property for a wall's
reference line or extra line. The property defines the distance of
the reference or extra line from the wall's center line. With
positive values, the distance is measured outwards from the
centerline, with negative values, it is measured inwards.
